Washington Bridal Showcase |
Sunday we {Bobby + Barbara} manged to get through an entire Washington Bridal Showcase without killing each other! :)
Normally Becca {our amazing, incredible, super, fantastic accounting she-woman} rocks our booth with me, but unfortunately Becca had prior engagements - so Bobby was volun-told to help with the April Showcase. He did fantastic!!! After finally resigning to the fact that our sign will never actually be perfectly hung, he focused on knocking over my soda into the booth next to us + fixing the easels that I kept knocking over. But with all the mishaps and adventures, we were super successful and our booth was super busy for the entire show! We are very excited to start working with our Fall 2013 + Spring 2014 brides!

The New Studio! |
Well we are proud to announce that construction on our new studio has begun!! Yay us! Since we are growing so fast & we have quadrupled our sales since last year, we needed room to grow from our little home office to literally - our entire basement. We have a 1400sqft basement & Bobby {my hubby & the Mayla Studios $$ man} has graciously sacrificed his 'Man Cave dream' to allow for this to happen. We have the framing up {done in 1 day!} & electrical work will be done next week and the drywall will be done the following, then comes paint + wallpaper {won that battle too!} & then finally flooring & furniture. So now my worker bees can have room to stretch out & brides + grooms can have a place to actually sit down and go over ideas opposed to me taking my act on the road all the time. Big dreams need big space!!
